Palm-leaf and parabaik manuscripts, Myanmar traditional cultural heritage, that are almost 200 years old are preserved in separate room with necessary arrangement. Most of the texts in the manuscripts are Buddhism but there are some non-religious texts
such as traditional medicine, astrology, Myanmar literature and history, language, etc. Palm-leaf and parabaik manuscripts were widely used in Myanmar kingdoms and now those are primary sources and treasures of Myanmar people. There are 13337 volumes of palm-leaf manuscript and 987 volumes of parabaik in the collection. A catalog of books can be found at catalogue.nlmnpt.gov.mm.
